Salvation Army New Day Drop-in Center

Salvation Army’s New Day Drop-In Center provides necessities and professional clinical support for vulnerable, exploited, and marginalized women in the Kensington neighborhood. Located on Kensington Avenue since 2011, NDDC has been a safe place for women to be accepted, welcomed, and supported from wherever they are. Not only does NDDC provide necessities such as clothing, shoes, toiletries and hygiene, showers, food, and a cozy environment to rest during the day, we also provide professional intensive comprehensive case management to support women in achieving their goals. PROJECT HOME

The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME’s work is organization around 4 main hubs: housing, medical care, employment, and education. Learn more at Project HOME’s website.

We invite all City Church members and attendees to consider how you might give sacrificially for this year’s Easter Sacrificial Offering in support of these three organizations.
