Living in Place: Life with God, Neighbor and the Land

  • West Catholic Library 4501 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA, 19139 United States (map)

What if a city like Philadelphia had the potential to be like the Garden of Eden? What would that mean? The Bible has specific views on what it means to invest in a healthy Place that necessarily involve relationships between people and God, people and people, and people and the geographical space in which they live. The book of Deuteronomy casts vision for life in place and Jesus makes it a reality as he ushers in the Kingdom of God. What would it mean for us let these ideas shape our life in Philadelphia? Can we live an Eden-like life?

Join us for this 3-week class taught by Dr. Cyndi Parker, Biblical Theological Seminary.
