We sing as a way of engaging our voices, imaginations, words, and desires in the worship of God. We sing together, to God and to each other, because of our calling to be a people joined together in Christ. 

The music at City Church draws from the musical gifts of people within our congregation and from Philadelphia's rich music scene. By using texts and tunes shared by God's people across centuries, continents and cultures, we acknowledge our place in the larger story of God's work in his world. We also sing new songs created for our own community of faith to celebrate God's presence and generosity to us here and now in Philadelphia.
